How often does a pier and beam home need to be re-shimmed?
It varies. As the soil goes through wet and dry cycles and the wood dries out, shims can loosen, so many pier and beam homes need occasional adjustment over the years. Fixing moisture problems in the crawl space helps adjustments last longer.
Can you work through a small crawl space opening?
